Open to any Junior fencer who is resident or who fences in Devon Age groups are defined by the fencer’s age on 1st January 2025
Age Group - Year of birth - Weapon size - Ranking Format
Under-17 - 2008 or 2009 - Size 5 - Poules + Full DE, split by gender
Under-15 - 2010 or 2011 - Size 5 - Poules + Full DE, split by gender
Under-13 - 2012 or 2013 - Size 2 - Poules + Full DE, split by gender
Under-11 - 2014 or 2015 - Size 2 - Poule Unique, mixed gender
Under-9 - 2016 or later - Size 0 - Poule Unique, mixed gender
Each age group will fence a separate ranking round, of the format detailed above.
Groups using the same weapon size may be combined for the initial seeding round.
This will be at the Organisers’ discretion, based on entries.
Format, Check-in, and Start times may be subject to change, dependent on entries in each age group.
If changes are necessary, as much notice as possible will be given.
Current membership of British Fencing at Compete level is required for all fencers.
Under-17 and Under-15 fencers must use at least 350N jackets and breeches, and 800N plastrons.
Under-13, Under-11, and Under-9 fencers may use 350N plastrons, and trousers in place of breeches, provided the legs are fully covered and all openings or pockets are securely closed.
Tea and coffee will be available. There are no refreshment facilities at this venue.

Unfortunately the timing does not allow for competing in more than one weapon
Final closing date for entries: Thursday 9th January 2025
Entries by the ‘Early Bird’ date will be entered into a prize draw
